Cielito Lindo Estudio’s art studio, founded in the 1980s in the picturesque town of San Miguel de Allende, Mexico, is set against the backdrop of the historic colonial architecture that defines this vibrant destination. San Miguel de Allende, nestled in the state of Guanajuato, stands out for its blend of Mexican baroque and Spanish architectural styles, as well as its bustling arts community, renowned culinary offerings, and lively cultural events and celebrations. ato is known for its Mexican baroque Spanish architecture, thriving arts scene, culinary arts and cultural festivals. 

It is here, tucked away in a small workshop on the outskirts of town that the studio creates it’s original folk art. Known for it’s unique art, Incorporating the traditional elements of Mexican culture, humor, materials and artisanal legacy. Making pieces on the cutting edge of design and creativity. 

Hand forged metal, wooden figures, ceramics, Mexican Folk Sayings, and “Día de Los Muertos” motifs elaborated in elegant hues and electric colors. Each piece of art is hand made and is unique.

The Yale Peabody Museum

Yale University’s earliest collection began in the 18th century as a miscellaneous assortment of “natural and artificial curiosities” typical of college collections of the time. Place of the Governor’s Museum (Santa Fe)

The Palace of the Governors was first used to exhibit the collections of the Historical Society of New Mexico in 1885. In 1909 the New Mexico Territorial Legislature authorized use of the Palace of the Governors for use by the Museum of New Mexico. Over the next 100 years, the single museum developed into a system of state-run museums and agencies, and with the addition of the Domenici Building in 2009, the Palace became a part of the new New Mexico History Museum.
